Welcome to Bertdiscourses, a place where thinking minds converge to share writings on the categories you see across the top of the page. The logo in the upper left corner establishes the concept: Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, is the source from which our human thinking and creative capacities flow. Our ability to engage God and each other, and even our own interior lives, in language encompases far more than the six categories identified above, but these give us a start. As writings appear, you may offer replies. Please maintain the decorum of civil discourse; I realize that this is difficult in these times. Please refrain from political polemics; in this matter I am following the wise counsel of my priest (Antiochian Orthodox) who beckons us to listen to the Holy Spirit for a season until we have the mind of Christ to guide us. I will be starting things off with a pair of short stories that I wrote in 2019; these will give you some idea of the tone and range of possibilities that fit the context.
